El Observatorio Latinoamericano de Memorias (LatinMemories.org) es una plataforma de investigación que se enfoca en el estudio de la memoria social en América Latina. El objetivo principal es compartir información y conocimiento relacionada con la memoria en sociedades posconflicto tales como violaciones a los derechos humanos, dictaduras, memoria cultural del colonialismo, y conmemoraciones nacionales y transnacionales. El observatorio tiene relaciones con investigadores, proyectos de investigación y grupos de estudio que comparten su conocimiento en el sitio web y en actividades académicas y culturales.

Los objetivos del observatorio son:
- Gestionar información y conocimiento a ciudadanos e investigadores sobre la memoria social latinoamericana. El sitio web muestra las actividades de la red a través de noticias, artículos y libros de los miembros de la red.
- Coordinar eventos, conversaciones y conferencias sobre memoria en América Latina desde un enfoque global. A través de actividades públicas, la red provee un diálogo entre investigadores y sus miembros.
- Crear un debate académico sobre la memoria social en cada uno de los países de América Latina. Uno de los objetivos del observatorio es establecer relaciones institucionales con diferentes organizaciones.
Hoy en día, la plataforma digital del observatorio se encuentra en construcción.

The Latin American Observatory on Memories (LatinMemories.org) is a research network focuses on the study of social memory in Latin America. The principal aim is share information and knowledge related to memory in post-conflict societies such as human rights violations, dictatorships, the cultural memory of colonialism, and national and transnational commemorations. The networks have a relationship with researchers and study groups whose share their knowledge on the web site and cultural/academic activities.

The aims of the Observatory are:
- Manage and share information and knowledge to citizens and researchers about Latin American social memory. The website shows the activities of the network by means news, articles, and books of the member networks.
- Coordination of events, conversations and conferences on social memory in Latin America from a global approach. Through the study groups, the networks provide a dialogue among researchers and members in conferences for the public interested.
- Create an academic debate on the social memory in each of the countries of Latin America between several institutions and organizations in the world. One of the observatory’s aims is establishing institutional relations to different organizations.
